FAQ
What is the purpose of this site?
-The purpose of this site is to act as an artistic voice. A scream in the void for our life, beliefs and existence to be treated with dignity, respect and understanding. A great deal of our life we were treated as an item, either a womb to be used, a thing to be displayed or tool to further someone's means. This site is an active act of defiance to those who have oppressed us.
You say you're a proshipper but I don't see alot of proship content, why is that?
-Because proship is a really easy tag to get people who do not have the emotional maturity to consume art thoughtfully to just go away. I don't want to deal with people who snap at the biggest kneejerk reaction, I don't want to deal with people who gatekeep content.
That's pro-censorship behavior and censorship is bad.
Often it's done with the best intentions and abused by those in power to silence victims.
Like how laws against certain material are used by websites to keep victims from posting their experience and evidence of that experience.
Because a victims testimony often violates those rules even though they are begging for help.
Another reason is because healthcare in America isn't a right.
Mentally ill people make art, write horrible content because often times a therapy visit can mean losing your home/starving and drawing, writing and finding community support is easier than facing starvation.
Some even use it because the abuse was so bad they have no idea how to ask for help anymore. They have no idea how to connect with a person so art is their only real voice, their only real chance to find hope.
Telling someone to get help or get therapy is heavily coming from a place of privilege and can be incredibly cruel and inhumane.
You could be telling someone who is begging for help, begging for connection that they're a monster.
You could be forsaking the last lifeline they have left because you feel uncomfortable.
America is basically a 3rd world country with a first world ego and we have to protect whatever spaces we can to survive.
We have to be better than this. We have to be kinder and more empathetic than this.
We have to be brave in an incredibly cruel world.
What do you mean by petite adults in the 18+ warning?
-I design a variety of monsters, creatures and species so some maybe tiny like fairies or pixies, some can be huge like giants, it ranges. But we will clearly label who is an adult and who isn't.
Personally for us specifically, most of us are from the Undertale fandom and Sans is about 4 to 5 feet tall so many variants tend to be that height. There's also going to be chibi art and it can change depending on style. So someone can draw an adult person in a cute style but that person is still an adult. To protect myself and those artists each bio will labelled who is an adult and who isn't so you can see this more clearly.
Also every profile will be labeled with unique consent permissions. Some people do not feel comfortable having any NSFW content of them done even as adults. Some are adoptable we bought that have unique permissions or artists we affiliate with that are just not ok with certain content.
The overall gist is we will label everything as best we can and if style, size difference and so on make you uncomfortable this is not a good place for your mental health.
You say alters have families but I thought alters can't give birth?
-You are correct! Alters cannot actually give birth but alters are fictional constructs made for survival and fictional things can believe whatever they need to, to survive.
Remember things like the placebo effect are very real.
For us alot of our trauma deal with us losing our children. We have had 5 miscarriages and a slew of medical trauma in our attempts to get help, along with the trauma of one of our children being killed by one of our exs punching us in the stomach to force a miscarriage.
We've also had a few false pregnancies where the body wants a child so badly is starts to act like it's pregnant with no baby actually in the womb.
Many of us are made from that pain and mimicking childbirth internally is a form of self-soothing.
It allows us to have the children we lost and welcome in new alters with a support system ready for them, so the act of appearing isn't as scary or confusing.
The method is very similar to how women will use Reborn dolls, care for them and even pretend to give birth as a form of healing. It's the same but it's all done internally.
This is why we have such strict rules about children on the site despite being so anti-censorship.
We cannot handle seeing children suffer, we can not handle watching children being hurt or abused.
The pain of losing a child is so horrible and the littles in our system are precious to us.
They are our treasures. Our hope.
This site is a very vulnerable experience for us but I don't want my suffering to hurt others.
I want something good to come out of the darkness.
I am mentally ill and I will do mentally ill things, but I want so desperately for no one to ever know the pain we've went through.
Love or hate me, you all deserve better than that.
You say you're anti-censorship but you have alot of rules/boundaries, how is that anti-censorship?
Easy, I believe the government should have no say over the media we consume and that extends to payment processors. Often this control is done not out of morality but out of trying to push an agenda in an attempt to manipulate us.
But private websites, forums and chats are like going into someone's house.
If you walk in, shit on their table, of course they're going to be pissed and tell you to get out.
They are allowed to do that, because people are allow to choose what comes into their home.
Also things like racism and transphobia listed in our boundaries is not censorship because they are ultimately groups that preach censorship ideals. They want censorship, they want the LGBTQ/minorities to be othered enough to kill them without guilt.
This is the very thing we are fighting against.
This is why censorship is so fucking evil to the human condition.
